Hi, I am Fran, native to beautiful Austria and fascinated by languages.
As a German teacher I specialize not only in teaching the language but also in finding connections between English and German that make learning for you so much easier.
There are many parallels between our languages (even if it is sometimes hard to believe :D) and I am here to make sure that these parallels are your fast track to learning German.
I am teaching beginners to intermediates (levels A1, A2, B1).
FAQs
How much time do I need to study every day?
That depends on how quickly you learn. My courses are designed for 60 days with 2 hours of studying per day, 5 days a week, with two days completely off. For fast progress I recommend at least 1 hour of learning German per day.
How long does it take to complete the course?
All my courses are structured to take 8 weeks or 60 days. If you follow the recommended schedule, you will complete the course within 60 days.
How long do I have access to the course?
You have access to each course you purchase for 1 year.
What supplies do I need for the course?
I recommend using a laptop / computer and if you like to write by hand – a printer as well. Even though you can use the course’s mobile app and do everything online, I suggest you use your phone only for audio-exercises.
Where does the course take place?
You don’t have to drive somewhere, you can enjoy my courses from the comfort of your own home as they are 100% online.
Do you issue government-recognized certificates after your courses?
No, I don’t issue government-recognized certificates because I’m not an institute that conducts official examinations. However, my courses cover all content according to the CEFR guidelines.
What do the levels A1, A2, B1, B2... mean?
The CEFR levels range from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficient). They describe the skills you should have at each stage:
- A1: Basic phrases, introducing yourself, simple communication.
- A2: Understanding frequently used expressions, talking about routine tasks.
- B1: Communicating in everyday situations, expressing opinions.
- B2: Understanding complex texts, conversing fluently on various topics.
- C1: Producing clear, detailed language, comprehending nuanced ideas.
- C2: Mastery of the language, using it effortlessly and effectively.
What are CEFR guidelines?
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language proficiency. It provides a clear framework for learning objectives and skill levels. All my courses are based on the CEFR guidelines. Learn more about CEFR here.
